In a highly skilled manner, perform and supervise complex technical events in classrooms and lecture halls; set up, operate, and supervise the use and care of multimedia equipment including, but not limited to, data projectors, laptops and Wacom annotation tablets, Crestron and Extron control systems, IP videoconferencing systems, HD digital video cameras and digital recording devices, broadcast digital switchers, microphone systems and sound reinforcement; train and assist faculty, staff, and others in setting up and operating classroom and lecture hall multimedia equipment; oversee and troubleshoot web streaming for events, including hardware and software solutions; troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance of portable and installed equipment and systems; collaborate with MTS colleagues in providing services for courses and events; and perform additional related duties as required. Will be scheduled on work assignments primarily in the Science Center, but also in various locations on campus and, occasionally, off campus.
This is a 20-hour per week position.

High school graduate or equivalent plus technical school (or equivalent), with courses in Educational and instructional media.
At least two years of full-time experience with digital media and classroom technology; ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and swiftly transport equipment across campus.
A minimum of two years of college strongly preferred.
More than three years of experience in supporting multimedia systems, preferably in an academic environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, and should have an employment record of reliability and strong attendance. Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and have a highly positive customer service attitude. Some overtime and evening and weekend work will be required.
