Perform a wide variety of technical duties in College of Communication. Areas include general classrooms, specialty spaces with a focus on broadcast studios (Television, Cinema, and Radio), and labs. This employee provides immediate assistance to faculty and classes using these spaces to ensure uninterrupted instruction and usage. Must be proficient in classroom AV systems, broadcast studio equipment, and Mac OS usage. Must have a working knowledge of NLE editing systems (Premiere, Avid, FCPX, etc) and Adobe CS Suite Applications, among others. This position is responsible for monitoring student usage of COM facilities in off-peak times as well as performing end-of-day shutdown and ongoing maintenance. Occasionally provide basic training to novice users.Please note: this position is scheduled from1:00pm to 9:30pm,Monday - Friday.
Salary: Grade 25
Associate's degree, strong knowledge of computer, video and camera equipment, and one to three years of experience.
