The Department of Digital Media Arts at Huntington University is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position in Animation beginning in Fall 2018. The ideal candidate should have a primary strength in at least one of the following areas: 3D Character Animation, Motion Graphics (2D and 3D), or Storyboarding. Secondary strengths in complementary areas like 3D Rigging, Special Effects Animation, Stop Motion, Gaming Engines, 2D Character Animation, 3D Sculpting, and Game Design are also welcome.
Responsibilities include teaching classes in several of the above areas as well as helping shape curriculum, managing animation labs, and serving on faculty committees. The Digital Media Arts department includes five faculty members offering majors in Animation, Broadcasting, Film Production and Film Studies. There are currently two animation professors and 60+ students in the animation program.

Experience with Maya or Cinema 4D, After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite (Z-brush and Toon Boom also a plus)
