Mid-Pacific seeks a temporary full-time High School Digital Media Arts (Fundamentals of Digital Media Arts, Digital Art (Levels 1-3), and Media Art Techniques (Levels 1-3)) Teacher for the second semester of the 2017-2018 school year to begin in January 2018. Mid-Pacific is an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory day school serving students in grades Pre-K - 12.
Qualifications and Experience: Requires a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (Master of Fine Arts degree preferred) in relevant graphic arts/design or information technology discipline or equivalent required. Minimum of three years related industry and/or academic experience; currently working artists preferred. Prior teaching experience is required. Must have required subject matter expertise (digital illustration, web, graphics, multimedia, media arts, digital animation, etc.); outstanding oral and written communication skills; excellent motivational and instructional skills; and able to facilitate diverse groups. Candidates need to be able to teach in an online and classroom learning environment. The successful candidate must have the ability to assist students in the design, development, implementation, and management of small to mid-sized team projects.
Accomplished in the following software packages: Adobe CC 2017 Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, Animate, and Premiere.
