Regular: A position which is considered essential for the effective long-term operation of the university. Persons appointed to this position will receive the privileges and benefits associated with regular employment status.
Position available to assist with the design, implementation and operational support of departmental AV systems that will be implemented at UIHC. Will work very closely with Capital Management, AV contractors, Construction Trades during project implementation and provide daily support of installed systems. AV systems will include Conference/ Meeting rooms, Event Spaces, Interactive Patient Care System, Digital Signage System, Patient Observation System, CATV / IPTV delivery, Centralized Clock system and other supported AV systems
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience (typically 1-3 years) configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting workstations running Windows XP/7 and MS Office 2010.
Working knowledge of A/V control programs, touch panels, and/or digital signal processors.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with a diverse population of technical and non-technical staff.
Working knowledge of audio and video equipment such as video conferencing, wireless technology, computers, televisions, LCD projectors, cameras and telephones to include set up and troubleshooting.
Highly Desirable qualification:
Experience with technical process documentation.
Familiarity with Enterprise level A/V management software application in order to actively monitor all A/V components
