The University of New Haven is seeking to hire a Student Support Technician to provide technical support to university students, including computer repair, software installation and network connectivity.
Assist university students with technology related needs, including but not limited to: computer hardware repair in and out of warranty
Install software, remove viruses/spyware, configure network connectivity on computer or mobile device. Windows and Apple devices
Assist students connecting streaming or gaming devices
Assist students with cable television issues, escalate to network team
Train student employees to perform same duties
Students supported include residential, off-campus residential, and commuter
Represent Office of Information Technology at student orientations and move-ins
A Bachelor's Degree and 3-4 years of directly related experience in a Higher Education environment is preferred
Preferred experience will include a minimum of 2-3 years in general computer repair and software installation
Familiarity with the integration of wireless networks, preferably Aruba
