Summary: The Manager, Advanced Learning Projects works for Academic Technologies, an educational support unit of Information Services, and oversees The Media Commons. The Media Commons provides technology and consultative services across campus, to support faculty and students in the effective use of digital media to enhance teaching and learning at Wake Forest.
Builds and manages a state of the art video production equipment and post production facility.
Fosters community and faculty relationships.
Designs and implements new educational programs.
Evaluates and purchases digital media technology.
Coordinates with the classroom management team for ongoing support of network and physical infrastructure.
Produces regular reports on utilization of Media Commons services.
Participates in Information Systems and Teaching and Learning Collaborative working groups.
Hires and supervises staff; manages multiple locations and schedules.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong organizational and customer service skills.
Excellent communication skills.
High proficiency with video production tools such as iMovie, Adobe Premiere, and graphic design programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
A background in digital media production and/or learning design.
Experience with publishing tools like Wordpress, Weebly, and Voicethread.
Responsible for own work.
