The Director of the Language Center will develop and extend the College’s capabilities for teaching and learning with digital media and educational technologies to enhance language learning, teaching, and encourages innovative use of learning and teaching technologies.
The Language Center is a technology-rich learning space for students and faculty of languages at the College. The Director provides administrative oversight and management of the Language Center to ensure smooth and effective function of the Center with exceptional service to the community.
This is an exempt 11-month, 0.75 FTE (33 hours per week), regular, benefit-eligible position.

The successful candidate possess an advanced degree in one of the languages offered at Carleton, applied linguistics, or language acquisition and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Must be able to work effectively with multiple language departments with different needs and to work with faculty to find the best solutions to pedagogical and technology needs.
