Position Summary: Under the primary direction of the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations and Digital Strategy is the chief information officer for all Intercollegiate Athletic communications. This position will work closely with the Senior Associate Director of Athletics and the Associate Director of Athletics on a daily basis.
Prerequisite Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree required 2 years of experience in content management of digital media. -Applicants should have 2 or more years of relevant team and people management experience. -Proven strategic planning experience is necessary. -Knowledge of editing content and materials for consistency and brand appropriateness. -Ability to take complex ideas and present them in a manner that is easy to consume and share. -Experience managing a small team and working cross-functionally to achieve department goals. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively with tight deadlines. -Strong quantitative analytical ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office required. -Proficiency in HTML, HTML 5, and CSS a plus. -Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules required. -At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
