Full Time; Career Starting Salary Range: $48,900 - $75,600/annually. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Involves providing administrative oversight for an executive, including the coordination of communications and pertinent data among a group of the executive's subordinate management staff. Performs and / or oversees special projects or assignments that are highly sensitive or complex in nature, requiring a high level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation. Handles details and oversees work of a highly confidential and critical nature to support the executive on matters of significance.
The Dean's administrative team is responsible for providing direct support for the Dean, under the supervision of the Chief of Staff. The incumbent will actively collaborate with the Chief of Staff, other members of the Executive Staff, other members of the administrative team and with colleagues throughout the division and campus to ensure all Dean's meeting, decision support, travel, calendar, and logistical needs are handled promptly and efficiently. This position requires an appreciation of the mission of the institution as well as the insight, tact, discretion and diplomacy to deal effectively with executives, staff, faculty, students and community members. As representatives of the Dean, all member of the Dean's Office are expected to model the UC Santa Cruz Principles of Community in their interactions with senior leaders, faculty, students and staff at all levels of the organization, with colleagues, throughout the UC system and their interactions with agencies, organization and individuals outside of the UC system.
The Arts Division offers technical training, aesthetic development, and historical, theoretical, and critical studies in the history of art and visual cultures, dance, design/technology, drama, film and digital media, digital arts and new media, games and playable media, and music to all undergraduates as well as to undergraduate majors and graduate students. The division is comprised of departments and programs of study, organized research units, and instructional and research programs designed to attract and retain a diverse population of students and to support a variety of programs and facilities.
Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
