The Learning Hub Services Supervisor is a key contributor to the Learning Environment Integration team which provides resources, facilities, and services in support of learning success for the Stanford University community. The Services Supervisor develops and manages a team of approximately 30 student workers who staff the service desk and perform the day-to-day operations of the Lathrop Learning Hub. The Hub is a central campus location which provides resources and services to support and enhance student learning. Resources include equipment loans, poster printing, collaborative study spaces, advanced resource classrooms, and a makerspace. Services include consulting on use of digital media production equipment and software.
Administer and support programs or functions under general supervision. Will work with the Lathrop Learning Hub Manager to provide high-quality customer-service experiences in primarily face-to-face interactions and to maintain informal learning environments and classrooms in top condition.
Recruit, hire, develop, and inspire a team of student workers to meet service level agreement goals while also maintaining sensitivity to the fact that students' academic work is their highest priority.
Independently plan and problem-solve effectively in a fluid, demanding environment. Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for the Lathrop Learning Hub.
Implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the Lathrop Learning Hub. Act as key contact for the service desk.
Represent the Lathrop Learning Hub for the Office of the Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning. May also represent the this function to external constituencies.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities, with the Learning Hub Manager that may include communications, events, training, and/or conferences.
May collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the Lathrop Learning Hub.
Respond to escalated issues from clients and other support teams.

Basic technical fluency with computers, peripherals, and common productivity applications
Fluency or aptitude to learn new to use technology and software, particularly those related to digital media production, audiovisual installations, and common makerspace equipment.
Ability to provide excellent client services.
Experience working with higher education students or similar in a leadership or supervisory role.
