The Department of Communication and Journalism at Rider University seeks an Adjunct Professor for the Film, Television and Radio program to teach courses in Rider's expanding digital filmmaking concentration. Initial course will be Digital Filmmaking which runs from January 23 through May 8, 2017, on Mondays from 6:30 until 9:30 pm. Candidates should be comfortable in all phases of the narrative filmmaking process including pre-production, production and post-production. The ideal candidate will foster student creativity along with the technical competencies necessary for them to become successful filmmakers. Candidates should be able to assist students in:Learning the creative process necessary for developing ideas and translating those ideas into viable film projects.Developing a greater understanding of the language and aesthetics of film production.Learning and applying basic film production theories and techniques.Developing a greater understanding of and competency with film production software and technologies.
