The Division of Information Technology Services is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Network Analyst. As part of the network operations team, the network analyst will provide operational support and maintenance of our university wide, high-speed campus networks: NUnet, ResNet and NUwave. The network analyst will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of these networks, by performing installation of network equipment, remediation of network issues as they arise and proactive management of its components. This position will enable the university to accrue the benefits made available by its multi-million dollar investment in NUnet, ResNet and NUwave. This position will also contribute to the operation and maintenance of HuskyCable campus television service. This position requires the individual to participate in on-call responsibilities and scheduled weekend maintenance upgrade work as required. To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. Prefer 3+ years in a network, computer and/or desktop support role. Experience working with structured cabling and other network closet technologies preferred. Self-motivated individual with the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects independently a must. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills in a customer service oriented environment. Agility and willingness to independently research and learn new and innovative technologies and applications.
