LIU is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Counseling and Development/College of Education, Information and Technology. Responsibilities include teaching and advising Master's level students in the CACREP accredited master's degree programs in school counseling and clinical mental health counseling at the LIU Post and LIU Brentwood campuses. In addition, a commitment to scholarly research, curriculum improvement, university committee participation, practicum and internship supervision, and membership and involvement in professional counseling associations.

Each candidate should meet the following qualifications:
Doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program. ABO acceptable if graduating in May, 2017.
Some experience in school counseling preferred.
A record of successful experience in higher education and/or other educational environments preferred.
Knowledge of the ASCA model, CACREP standards and Blackboard or equivalent online instructional software preferred.
