Tenure-track faculty are expected to excel at teaching, research/ creative endeavors and service to students and the university community. Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include teaching core courses in the film and television production curriculum from the foundational to advanced levels. Tenure expectations require that the candidate maintain a vigorous and successful creative practice, including submission of work to peer reviewed film festivals, publishing in appropriate peer-reviewed journals, and having their work screened on regional, national and international broadcast platforms and at academic conferences. Having films in theatrical release will also be highly valued. Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants:
M.F.A. in Film, Television and Media Arts or closely related field
Evidence of teaching effectiveness in film and television
Demonstrated expertise in visual storytelling with an emphasis on cinematography, lighting design, and sound. Preference will be given to candidates with additional experience in editing, animation, visual effects, motion capture and computer graphics effects
A record of successful production for regional, national and/or international broadcast, theatrical, and/or film festival outlets.
