This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Videographer 1 position for the Department of Athletics at Oregon State University (OSU).
The mission of the OSU Department of Athletics is to provide opportunity to young people and develop leaders through a tradition of academic and athletic achievement in a progressive, inclusive environment of mutual respect.
This position reports to the Director of Video Production and is responsible for shooting video inventory as directed. This position is also responsible for venue set up and will manage the technical aspect associated with the site so that the broadcasts are of quality images and sound.
Three years of television production videography experience.
Experience with video hardware/software.
Working knowledge on multiple cameras (DVCPRO, P2, MINI DV, HD), tape and solid state media formats.
Working knowledge of editing software and IT systems to allow start to finish project uploads to department’s website.
Working knowledge of software and publishing methods necessary to produce and upload video content to athletic department’s website and social media sites.
Experience in supporting Windows and MAC products.
Experience digitizing and editing content for practices, games, and recruiting from multiple media formats.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per OSU Standard 576-056-0000 et seq.
The employee in this position will often be required to (lift/carry/push/push/pull) objects weighing 50 pounds.
Overtime, evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
Required to work outdoors during athletic sporting events, in less than ideal weather conditions.
Work will be performed at all OSU Athletic facilities.
