The Technical Project Manager, AV and Media Services provides broad AV design and installation expertise in support of projects across the University. The role works with clients and project teams to provide project management, solutions assessment, consulting (business analysis), and vendor management to support pedagogic and collaborative AV communication goals for academic and meeting spaces across campus. The role serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in design, installation, integration, operation, maintenance, and support for a range of AV/Media technologies and services including: classroom and meeting space technologies, event consultation and support, video and web conferencing platforms, lecture/content capture, videography, streaming, and digital media production. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of AV design and installation projects as well as researching new, innovative, and emerging industry technologies, solutions, and best practices.

Qualifications Basic Requirements: Associate's degree plus five years of relevant experience in equivalent role. CTS Certification. 3 years Project Management experience for AV design and installation projects. Ability to demonstrate full ownership and accountability for projects and to effectively manage more than 5 projects simultaneously. Stong client consulting and customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to frequent changes. Experience administering Crestron Fusion and/or Extron GVE monitoring systems. Demonstrated experience adding new room installations to monitoring systems. Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems and MS Office applications. Strong understanding of IT networking and information security principles. Driver's License as travel between campuses is expected. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. InfoComm CTS-I and/or CTS-D certification. Project Management certification. Crestron and/or Extron programming certification or 3+ years programming control systems. Cisco Video Conferencing System Administration certification or 2+ years experience. Experience managing AV projects for higher education clients. 3 years of experience performing vendor management of AV Media solution with integrators for consulting, design, negotiation, procurement, installation, and support activities. Demonstrated advanced expertise in installing, integrating, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting at least 7 of the following technologies / solutions: AV control systems and including integrated AV matrix switcher controllers (e.g. Extron, Crestron). Media Players (e.g. Blu-ray, DVD). Audio and Video components. Web, Video and Teleconferencing solutions. PTZ cameras and control. DSP audio mixers. Microphones, wired and wireless systems. Wall and ceiling mounted speakers. Live event equipment (e.g. lighting, PA, and recording equipment). Video display technologies (e.g. projectors, screens, flat panel TVs, digital signage, document cameras). Analog and digital media sources. Web streaming and enterprise video content management. Lecture/content capture software or appliance (e.g. Echo360, Kaltura, Tegrity, Panopto, etc) PC interfaces (Windows, Mac, and mobile devices). Touch technologies (e.g. Smart Boards). AV cables and terminations (e.g. RGB termination to RS-232 termination for control). AV mounting devices (e.g. Projector mounts and TV wall mounts).
