Workers Compensation Coverage
Workers Compensation Coverage, required by all states, is provided to all contract employees in the event they are injured while performing their contract duties. The coverage is based on the statutory requirements of individual states, by the job classification and the experience rating.
General Liability, Errors & Omissions Insurance and Fiduciary Bonding
Business insurance can be expensive to obtain. Contract employees are covered.
- Commercial General Liability - $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 in the aggregate
- Professional Liability - $1,000,000 per occurrence, $1,000,000 in the aggregate
- Commercial Excess Liability (umbrella) - $5,000,000 combined single limits
- Hired and Non-Owned Automotive Liability - $1,000,000 combined single limits
- Employer Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) - $1,000,000
- Employee Dishonesty Bond - $1,000,000
- Employee Forgery Bond - $25,000
Employee Assistance Program
- Description - The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential counseling service of licensed professionals available to contract employees and their dependents manage problems affecting their lives such as alcohol/drug abuse, stress/depression, family/marital conflict, and child/adolescent behavior issues.
- Cost - Three counseling sessions per incident are available at no cost to all full-time contract employees and their dependents, and three additional free counseling sessions may be available if you experience multiple incidents per issue. The EAP counselor is available to make arrangements for additional counseling beyond the free sessions, if necessary.
- Availability - EAP counselors are available - routine or emergency - on a 24/7 basis.
- New Contract Employees - Coverage begins immediately upon the first day of your employment.
Group Life Insurance
- Cost - Free basic coverage.
- New Contract Employees - Coverage begins on first month following your first full month of employment.
- Eligibility - Coverage includes all active, full-time contract employees who are citizens or permanent residents of the USA or Canada in continuous active employment in the USA. Other limitations may apply.
- Coverage - $10,000 in free coverage for active employees
- Portability - Available when contract employee leaves MyW2 Employer, retires, or reduces hours below the minimum required. Subject to certain restrictions.
- Accelerated Benefit - Half of the Insured's Life amount up to one year prior to anticipated death per physician's certification.
- Waiver of Premium - Employee Life premium is waived after contract employee becomes disabled for 9 months.
- Exclusions - 2 year suicide exclusion.
Group Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
- Cost - Free basic coverage.
- New Contract Employees - Coverage begins on first month following the first full month of employment.
- Eligibility - Coverage includes all active, full-time contract employees who are citizens or permanent residents of the USA or Canada in continuous active employment in the USA. Other limitations may apply.
- Coverage - $10,000 in free coverage for active contact employees
- Portability - Available when a contract employee leaves MyW2 Employer, retires, or reduces hours below the minimum required. Subject to certain restrictions.
Guarantee Issue Long Term Disability Income Protection Insurance
- Cost - $.25 per $100 of gross wage up to $100,000 gross wage.
- Type of Plan - Group Insurance
- Qualification - Guarantee Issue - you cannot be denied coverage because of a preexisting medical condition. Available to all full-time contract employees.
- New Contract Employees - Coverage begins on first month following the first full month of employment.
- Benefit Level - 60% of gross wage up to $5,000 per month (tax-free).
- Elimination Period - 90 days from onset of disability.
- Term - To age 65. First two years "own occupation."
- Portability - Must be a contract employee to maintain coverage.
Guarantee Issue Short Term Disability Income Protection Insurance
- Cost - $.24 per $100 of gross wage up to $87,000 gross wage.
- Type of Plan - Group Insurance
- Qualification - Guaranteed Issue - you cannot be denied coverage because of a preexisting medical condition. Available to all full-time MyW2 employees.
- New Contract Employees - Coverage begins on first month following your first full month of employment.
- Benefit Level - 66 2/3% of weekly salary to a maximum of $1,000 per week.
- Elimination Period - On the first day of an accident or the seventh day of an illness.
- Term - Thirteen weeks.
- Portability - Must be a contract employee to maintain coverage.
