Reporting to the School of Film and Television (SFTV) Head of Production Administrator (HOPA), this position oversees The Playa Vista Campus Equipment Room and works with SFTV administration, faculty, and staff to strategize and coordinate all equipment and production technical support needs at the campus.
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge and skills.
A comprehensive knowledge of media production and technology for all aspects of production including camera, lighting and grip, and sound recording is required.
A minimum of five years of varied and progressively more responsible duties in the media creation industry, such as a strong track record working in an equipment rental facility or free-lance production. Additional experience in a university setting highly desirable.
Ability to assist students in the development of professional attitudes and disciplines while performing work on class projects or as student workers providing support for the SFTV.
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to provide consultation and assistance in the area of production equipment. Effective interpersonal and communication skills to relate with faculty, staff, and students competently.
