Involves the management, long-range planning, organization, coordination, oversight and / or performance of multiple operational activities and services for one or more buildings, including space planning, general maintenance, specialized facility systems and operations, call center triage and tracking of repair services, move planning and coordination, development of procedures, policies and communications related to infrastructure and safety.
Applies campus policies and procedures to resolve a variety of facilities management issues. Works on facilities management problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Under the general supervision of the Arts Division Operations Manager, the Facilities Coordinator is primarily responsible for the effective management of broad areas of divisional operations including facilities maintenance, ergonomic and safety issues, and divisional administration. Coordinating physical operations for the Arts Division including but not limited to: work orders, divisional moves, inventory tracking, space inventory, key control, telephone and network issues, health and safety issues, ergonomic evaluations, and campus and divisional emergency management services. Provides analytical support and completes special projects for the Dean and Assistant Dean. Determines appropriate sources of data and information for interpretation, independently analyzes data, and provides advice and recommendations. Provides support in planning, initiating and implementing Divisional policy and procedure.
The Arts Division offers technical training, aesthetic development, and historical, theoretical, and critical studies in art, history of art and visual culture, dance design/technology, drama, film and digital media, digital arts and new media, games and playable media, and music to all undergraduates as well as to undergraduate majors and graduate students. The division is comprised of departments and programs of study, organized research units, instructional and research programs to attract and retain a diverse population of students, and a variety of support programs and facilities.
Working knowledge of practices and procedures relating to facility maintenance.
Written communication skills to prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, policies and procedures, and training documents.
