POLICY AND COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE , Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) , to support J-PAL's mission by leading the design, execution, evaluation, and improvement of its policy outreach work through digital media (primarily J-PAL's website, YouTube, and social media outlets). Will work with other members of the policy, graphics, and research teams to disseminate the results of J-PAL research to policymakers, promote policy outreach activities to targeted audiences, and advise on communications strategies and channels. Will work under the supervision of a policy manager (Communication) and work closely with J-PAL Regional Office staff to tailor communications work at the local level.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree, preferably studying economics, political science, or other relevant social science; a minimum of two years' overall experience including specific experience in digital media content management; proficiency with web content management and CMS such as Drupal; familiarity with social media and Google and web analytics; knowledge of or willingness to learn Salesforce, YouTube management, and video editing (especially Adobe Premiere); proven ability to think broadly about media channels, content, and audiences; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build good relationships and work within a team and to communicate clearly with a broad range of stakeholders; proven ability to anticipate, plan, prioritize, efficiently organize and manage a high volume of work, and meet tight deadlines; ability to self-manage a time-sensitive workflow while maintaining high quality output and absolute accuracy with details.
