The University of the Pacific invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Digital Media Technologies that will hold a 50% appointment in the Communication Department and a 50% appointment in the Media X Department to begin August, 2019. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach courses in the following areas: web-based technologies and design, digital production methods, and other courses contributing to the Communication and Media X undergraduate majors and the Communication M.A. program.
Experience in new forms of digital media, visual communication, and skills in creating media from concept to final delivery are essential; a portfolio is expected. A research agenda in relevant Communication theory is expected. Requirements include a terminal degree or ABD in Communication or related field, and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching undergraduates.
