Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Design, Drawing & Rendering techniques. The candidate will also provide leadership of the Costume Design and Technology area including supervision, academic advising and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students as well as M.F.A. teaching assistants in costume. Candidate will collaborate effectively with diverse students and faculty.
Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:
M.F.A. in Theatre Design Technology and/or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrated competence in teaching
Skills in both traditional and digital medias
Commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service in an academic environment
Experience designing costumes for Theatre and Dance
Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:
Teaching at the university level preferred
Wigs and makeup are desirable as secondary areas

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
