The Instructional Support and Training (IST) team within the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a coordinator and developer of instructional video and digital media management. This service area works under the direction of a manger and encompasses the production of projects in the areas of video production, live webcasting of events, and digitization and online delivery of content for educational purposes. Customers include faculty, staff, and students. This position requires advanced skills in communicating among responsible team members and ensuring video projects and webcasting assignments are completed. This position also produces and maintains business analytics for IST's video and media services.
Oversees day-to-day tasks related to video production, digitalization and webcasting services
Monitors client requests though OIT ticketing system, determines needs, and recommends solutions
Provides guidance, consultation and direction on the most effective ways to develop instructional projects in the areas of video production, media development, and media delivery
Leads, manages and develops projects through planning, design, development, testing and implementation of any size project
Coordinates video projects to include client interaction, communication, logistics and scheduling
Provides project status updates, collects and maintains project metrics and reports them to management and customers as requested
Performs problem analysis for instructional and research problems or projects
Ensures that the required departmental equipment related to the capture, creation and manipulation of digital media are well maintained and up-to-date.
Provides instruction, direction, and mentoring to team members and students
Documents process and procedures, as appropriate
Ensures purchased software solutions are kept up-to-date. Ensures related process documentation and end-user information is up-to-date
Maintains a current level of knowledge for all instructional and research-related technologies
Creates and delivers workshops on various video and media techniques
Solicits internal and external customer evaluation of performance and devises measures for improvement
Inspires and fosters team commitment, pride, and trust. Facilitates cooperation and motivates team members to accomplish group goals.
