Under the general direction of the Senior Associate Athletics Director, the Director of Beach Vision will lead the production of in-house live sporting event broadcasts and creative video projects for on-line videos and commercials that engage fans to build meaningful relationships with Long Beach State Athletics.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to work effectively on short deadlines. Strong working knowledge of operating switcher board, replay, and video board content creation. Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, often including evening, weekends, and some travel as required. Working knowledge of full range of production techniques including sound recording, graphics, television, photography, videotaping, lighting, editing methods and equipment preferred. Ability to lean techniques in the development of television, film, radio, or multimedia productions. Working knowledge of copyright and other applicable laws pertaining to publications and the media. Thorough knowledge of web communication technique, vehicles, and formats. Ability to effectively use web technology to achieve communication goals. Strong story development and writing skills, as well as advanced editorial skills. Knowledge of interview techniques and the ability to define and deliver media messages. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong public speaking, listening and interpretive skills, ability to provide lead work direction.

Salary:he targeted salary may be set as high as $4,354 per month based on experience. The salary range for this classification is $4,104 to $7,209 per month.
Education and Experience: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related professional or technnical experience required. 1 to 3 years of experience creating video content for athletic teams and with live sporting event production preferred. Previous experience working in a NCAA Division I environment strongly preferred.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completd satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University.
