The Telecommunications Construction Coordinator is a hands-on role and is responsible for the function of the Contracting department; maintaining policies and procedures specific to the Contracting department utilizing best practice and coordinating with other departments as appropriate. This position works closely with all internal departments such as Sales, IT, Contracting and HR to ensure that each project is successfully executed in a timely manner. Synergy Broadband projects include but are not limited to Internet, Television, and Voice services provided to Multi-Dwelling Units and Commercial Buildings. Working with the contracting department in the field as well as significant travel is required.
Coordination and collaboration to ensure Contracting alignment with company objectives
Perform field duties as necessary in the contracting department
Maintaining, Coordination and managing the installation of Services
Provide technical design of systems for building projects including security, fire alarm, voice, data, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems
Responsibilities include preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, reports, conduct site visits, review technical documents, and customer contact
Will be responsible to complete project assignments with minimal supervision as well as give directions to support staff to complete a project
Must have knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards, and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, low voltage, and telecommunications systems.
Submit purchase request based on job requirements in a timely manner.
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments as well as external parties involved in the projects to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget and all parties are being held accountable throughout the projects
Review all project related documents to ensure accuracy and efficiency in project delivery
Work closely with all Synergy team members to ensure that projects are deployed on time, on budget and meet Synergy quality standards.
Ensure documentation is provided to clients, internal teams and other contractors as necessary for all projects
Manage contracting staff
Conduct team meetings
Confirm balanced work load and guidance for all direct reports
Suggest new hires/ keep work load balance for team
Ensure adequate training provided for all team members
