Albright College, a dynamic and inclusive learning community in Reading, PA, 70 miles northwest of Philadelphia, invites applications for a visiting faculty position in our growing Computer Science Department. The curriculum for the Computer Science major is modeled on recommendations of the Association for Computing Machinery, and prepares students for a broad range of employment opportunities, as well as for graduate study. Integrating computer science, digital media, mathematics, music and physics, our interdisciplinary Game and Simulation Development program focuses on how to utilize software engineering principles to implement game and simulation technologies.
We are currently searching for dedicated faculty to fill a position as Visiting Assistant Professor: The Albright College Game and Simulation Development Program seeks qualified candidates for a one-year visiting position, which may be extended, beginning August 2019. Qualified individuals should hold a terminal degree in appropriate and related fields, MFA or Ph.D. preferred. A solid portfolio reflecting a high degree of knowledge in game design and game development preferred. The ideal candidate should have a strong teaching background in Interactive Media and should be familiar with developing games on the Web, PCs, and mobile devices. Job responsibilities include teaching the core courses in the curricular program, supervising student projects, and continued scholarly work.
