The Radio, Television & Film Department at Rowan University is searching for one full-time faculty member to teach introductory courses in film and television screenwriting. Familiarity with film or television production is also desirable. The successful candidate will have experience in screenwriting and teaching in higher education.
Faculty in these positions will teach 12 credits per semester in both the fall and spring with the potential to teach overloads and possible summer or winter session classes. Class assignments will be determined by departmental need and based on the faculty member’s experience and expertise. These lecturer positions are non-tenure track, with renewable contracts and benefits, and provide the opportunity for advancement to senior and master lecturer. Must be available to teach five days a week. Faculty will be required to pursue service responsibilities as sought or assigned.
The successful candidates will join a thriving department with fourteen full-time faculty and over 425 majors and minors. Our faculty pursue diverse scholarly and creative agendas including prestigious publications and internationally distributed media productions. We are one of six departments in the College of Communication and Creative Arts.

• Experience teaching at the college level
• A Master’s Degree in screenwriting, or related area. An MFA or PhD is desired.
