The P/T Sr. Technical Assistant will explain and/or demonstrate the use of laboratory and/or facility equipment (including computers, printers, audio visual aids, digital technologies etc.) to aid students and faculty in various instructional environments. They will ensure labs/facilities equipment and educational materials are readily available for faculty and student use. The P/T Sr. Technical Assistant will also perform routine and preventive maintenance and repair of equipment as well as call for repairs, as needed. The incumbent will maintain the cleanliness of laboratories/facilities as well as utilize equipment such as computer discs, data projectors, sound systems, etc.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The pro-rated starting salary is $24,134 plus excellent benefits.
WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule will be 17.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday, 7:30 am-11:00 am.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a high school or equivalency diploma and three years of experience in area of specialty are required. Proficiency with computer applications and other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments are also required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with the installation and configuration of audio/visual technology and related peripherals strongly preferred. Experience using hardware related tools (i.e. crimper, punch-down tool, and cable testers) also preferred. Knowledge of television studio and theatrical equipment and an understanding of web streaming services and lecture capture systems preferred.
