The Digital Media & Animation Department is seeking qualified faculty for the Game & Interactive Design AS and BS programs. Teaching opportunities include Game Design, Interactive Design, UX design and advising senior projects, as well as special topics courses in areas of personal expertise. Other responsibilities include curriculum development, student advising, and university service. The Department of Digital Media & Animation serves approximately 200 students, and includes degree programs in Digital Media & Animation, Graphic & Media Design and Game & Interactive Design. Terminal degree (MFA or PhD) in a relevant field, or ABD with completion date before August 2020. Candidates with a relevant MS or MA degree may be considered
Portfolio demonstrating knowledge of art and design in interactive and game design practices, as well as current design technologies
Proficiency with relevant software and languages, including the Adobe Creative Cloud, Game design software such as Unreal and Unity and HTML/CSS
Dedication to teaching and the exploration of emerging technologies
College-level teaching experience beyond TA
Professional experience in Game Design and/or UX Design
Record of artistic exhibition
Experience with creative coding and physical computing
Ability to teach in other relevant areas, including 3D Modeling and animation, graphic design, video production and digital foundations.
Experience with development for VR and AR technologies
