The NISC Engineering and Operations (E&O) division is looking to fill a position:
Implementing the SwitchTalk2 application - SwitchTalk2 is NISC's auto-provisioning application, which provides provisioning and auditing capabilities from NISC to various switches, television head ends, access software, and other third-party software applications.
The position will work with the member/customer to effectively implement the applications. This includes managing project timelines and informing various individuals, including NISC employees and member/customer employees, of project expectations. It also includes analyzing the data from the member/customer’s current system to ensure that it is properly converted in to the NISC software.

Provides superior customer support to internal and external customers in all encounters.
Communicate with all parties involved in the enterprise implementation
Designs and delivers training to the Member employees to prepare for “live” week.
Facilitate and follow up with Member/Customers on difficult requests and procedures.
Conveys customer feedback to product development staff as appropriate.
Capable of handling difficult situations with Members and escalate issues as needed.
Work directly with NISC’s Research Development & Quality (RD&Q) and Product Teams on obtaining all information required for new Switchtalk2 implementations
Leads efforts to streamline professional services implementations and actively participates in strategic teams to influence ways to stream line implementations across multiple groups within NISC.
Future / forward thinking on where NISC should focus RD&Q efforts to enhance the provisioning engine in use today to streamline implementations and make for an easier Member experience for setup and configuration.
Actively participates in strategic partnerships with vendors leading the direction of how we can influence their API and / or prioritizing a roadmap for future enhancements for SwitchTalk2 and our Membership.
Determine expectations and timelines of the Member’s conversion process.
Serve as a mentor to the Switchtalk2 Professional Services Team for sharing information on new Switchtalk2 implementations and support requests.
Complete and prepare conversion documents.
Prepare and monitor the Project Plan and oversee the standardization of artifacts.
Utilizes all implementation best practices and artifacts for all implementation projects.
Assists customers in all aspects of implementation including troubleshooting, training, and on-going support.
Perform on-site training or deliver remote application training to Member/Customers via Web Tools.

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
Desired Job Experience
5+ Years of telecom/ISP experience
5+ Years of iVUE SIS and/or iVUE Connect experience
Training/Certifications on telecom specific vendors (Examples: ADTRAN, Calix, Zhone, Metaswitch, C15, Alianza, Momentum, MobiTV, Minerva, MagicMail, Media Room and Ect.
Strong PC skills with focus on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
Excellent research and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent presentation and training skills
Ability to organize and prioritize.
Ability to travel as often as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the position.
Basic programming skills a plus
