The College of Design's School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky seeks applicants for a full-time, temporary assistant professor to teach first-year architecture design studio and a digital media/visualization/fabrication course in both the fall and spring semesters, for a total of 18 credit hours for the academic year. Candidates should have expertise in two or more of the following categories: design, computation, visualization, and digital fabrication. The position will begin August 16, 2020 with an initial one-year appointment.
The College of Design is accelerating toward the opening of a new adaptive re-use building under the design direction of architect Jeanne Gang and Studio Gang. We anticipate a new and vibrant first year experience embedded in an interdisciplinary environment of new technologies, which will include Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, Historic Preservation, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design.
