The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Computer and Information Analyst (Media Technology Analyst). UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 5100 students.
The Computer and Information Analyst (Media Technology Analyst) will develop and produce broadcast, informational and instructional materials; provide technical support for UCTV (Educational Broadband Service - EBS) operations; studio productions, and field productions; provide technical support for academic production courses and student production activities related to media production. This position will report to, and receive general direction from, the Media Production Director of Electronic Media Communications. Supervises production team members as assigned.
Develop and produce broadcast, informational, and instructional media materials in all current formats including, but not limited to: audio, graphics, photo, web/interactive multimedia, and video; consults with patrons on specific project needs; develops estimates of production costs; tracks the flow of projects; files production reports
Provide academic tutoring, and academic supervision of students involved in departmental media production activities. Also provides direct supervision of professional staff or student employees as delegated
Provide technical support for UCTV operations (Educational Broadband Service - EBS television station), live multicamera studio production, and remote field production activities; provide technical support for academic courses in media production related to UCTV operations, video production, motion graphics, and digital imaging applications
Consult with faculty content specialists, clients, and department administrators for planning, script development and scheduling
Maintain records and inventory of production masters and production catalogs; oversee storage of production elements and perform other related duties as necessary
Monitor FCC licensing requirements and contract compliance with leasing partners. Supervise programs and services required to meet FCC licensing requirements
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting or communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. One to three years related design and production experience including audio, graphics, photography, video and web-based and interactive media
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing with excellent presentation skills to provide technology and production training
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and a strong service orientation required
Collaborative orientation and comfortable working in a team environment
Supervisory experience preferred
