Territory Sales Manager, Optical Devices (REMOTE)
Job Summary:
The Territory Sales Manager, Optical Devices for Canada is a key member of FUJIFILM North America Corporation’s Optical Devices Division, reporting to the VP of Sales. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company’s market presence throughout Canada by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives for broadcast and cinema equipment. Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of the broadcast and cinema industry, including technical specifications and customer use cases, to effectively communicate the value of the company’s products. Balancing strategic sales planning with hands-on operational execution is essential to advancing the Optical Devices Division in a competitive market. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a proactive and results-driven approach, are critical to thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The Optical Devices Division specializes in providing advanced optical lenses for broadcast, cinematography, closed-circuit television, and binocular applications.
Position Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Market Expansion:
· Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to identify new business opportunities and expand existing sales channels within Canada.
· Conduct comprehensive market research to understand industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities; tailor sales approaches accordingly.
· Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
· Lead sales and support efforts for broadcast lens products as well as cinema cameras and lenses.
· Collaborate closely with product development teams by sharing customer insights and feedback to inform product enhancements and innovation.
· Assist in creating marketing collateral and managing reporting requirements for corporate headquarters.
Sales Operations and Performance Analysis
· Manage all sales documentation including quotations and purchase orders with accuracy and efficiency.
· Maintain detailed records of demo and loaner equipment, ensuring database integrity and compliance with pricing and discount policies.
· Generate detailed sales reports for senior management, providing insights into customer needs, market conditions, and competitive landscape to guide strategic decisions.
Customer Relationship Management:
· Deliver exceptional product training and post-sale support to customers, fostering strong satisfaction and loyalty.
· Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with internal teams and external customers, ensuring all commitments are fulfilled.
· Represent FUJIFILM at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events, promoting products and staying abreast of market developments.
· Pursue continuous professional development opportunities to enhance skills and maintain expertise necessary to meet customer needs effectively.
Skills / Education:
· Post secondary degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience within the broadcast, cinema, or a closely related industry.
· Strong technical knowledge of broadcast and cinema equipment, including specifications, features, and customer applications.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage both internal stakeholders and external customers.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
· Proven track record of developing successful sales strategies and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with sales management tools and CRM systems.
· Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time throughout Canada and internationally for customer visits, conferences, and trade shows.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
· Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on achieving business objectives.
· High degree of professionalism and a customer-centric approach.
· Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in sales documentation and reporting.
· Ability to occasionally lift and transport heavy items, including large lenses weighing 60-100 pounds, and assist with setting them up for customers.
